Alpha Taxis: Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Booking and Service

  • Confirmation: A booking is deemed accepted only when you receive a confirmation via app, SMS, or email.

  • Vehicle Type: We endeavor to provide the vehicle type requested; however, we reserve the right to upgrade the vehicle at no extra cost if the requested type is unavailable.

  • Right to Refuse: Drivers reserve the right to refuse carriage to any person who is thought to be under the influence of excessive alcohol/drugs, or whose behavior poses a threat to the driver or the vehicle.

2. Pricing and Payment

  • Quotations: All quotes are based on the shortest route unless specified. Changes to the route or additional stops requested by the passenger may result in additional charges.

  • Waiting Time: A grace period of [e.g., 5 or 10] minutes is allowed. Thereafter, waiting time will be charged at our standard hourly rate.

  • Fouling Charge: A minimum charge of £100 will be applied for any soiling of the vehicle that requires professional cleaning.

3. Cancellations

  • Notice Period: Cancellations made more than 60 mins before the scheduled pickup time will incur no charge.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made within the notice period or "no-shows" will be charged the full fare or a minimum call-out fee.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Safety: Passengers are required by law to wear seatbelts at all times.

  • Children: Parents or guardians are responsible for providing and securing correct child seats.

  • Luggage: All luggage is carried at the passenger's risk. Alpha Taxis is not liable for loss or damage to personal property.

5. Liability and Delays

  • Alpha Taxis will not be held liable for any loss (financial or otherwise) resulting from delays caused by traffic, road accidents, weather conditions, or mechanical failure.

  • We recommend that passengers allow extra time for airport transfers to account for unforeseen circumstances.
